Xavier de Rosnay :If you listen to 'Genesis,' the first track, there are samples of Slipknot, Queen and 50 Cent, but they are such short samples no one can recognise them. The ones from Slipknot, for example, are just tiny bits of the voice." Xavier told MTV. He then went on to explain the writing and recording process; "On the album, we used three big samples that we had to clear, and all the rest are just impossible to recognise," he continued. "We're using the very short samples to improve the sound, because we are just writing melodies on piano and then we are listing each note taken from other records, so we make a trade between those notes and the proper loops."

Fujiya & Miyagi are no duo and definitely not Japanese. They are an electronic band from Brighton, United Kingdom who create music that has the feel of Brian Eno and Kraftwerk.

David Best and Steve Lewis started Fujiya & Miyagi, in 2000 and describe their infectious popsongs as a weird hybrid of James Brown on valium and Wire switched to pop music.

In 2003, whilst still a duo, Fujiya & Miyagi released their debut 'Electro Karaoke in the Negative' to the Tirk Records Label. With follow-up record 'Transparent Things' the band finalized their name along with the group set up. Fujiya & Miyagi had their well-deserved breakthrough in 2008, when releasing 'Light Bulbs'.

The hype created by the album, which featured the infectious single 'Knickerbocker', saw the band playing around the world and filling column inches in music papers all over the globe.
